Breaking Barriers
Artist Grant Program
The "Breaking Barriers" program is designed to create space for artists and artisans who may face a variety of obstacles in the art world, including participating in shows where they can sell their work. The program is meant for people who identify as POC, Black, Indigenous, 2sLGBTQIA+, or have a disability, or are facing financial challenges (ex. students). The program is funded thanks to our Official Sponsors, Shoebox Studio and Wallack's Art Supplies and Framing.
Applicants will be put into a pool of candidates, and a prize-winner will be selected by a lottery system (this is to help prevent any further barriers that arise from traditional selection processes). Selected artists will be provided with free registration for the upcoming Wall Candy event in September 2021.
